Coach Code of Conduct

1. I will be responsible for all the kids on my team.

2. I will do my best to insure that all kids have fun playing the sport.

3. I will treat all kids with respect and avoid negative criticism.

4. I will never use physical force or bullying tactics to discipline a kid.

5. I will adhere to the parent any and all misconduct by a player. Together we will decide the best action to be taken.

6. If necessary, any further disciplinary action will be decided upon by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, coach and parent together.

7. I will teach all kids the skills of the game, the values of teamwork and the meaning of good sportsmanship.

8. I will lead by example and always demonstrate good sportsmanship during a game and practices.

9. I will see that “all kids play” regardless of skill level.

10. I will provide only encouragement and positive direction to players during a game and practices.

11. I will know the rules and always play by the rules.

12. I will respect the officials and their authority during games.

13. I will communicate with the parents on my team and inform them of all team rules, practices, games and league information.

14. I will respect all facilities and equipment available for my team to practice and play games.

15. I will never use profanity, abusive language or threatening behavior towards any player, parent, coach or official.

16. I will not smoke, drink or use narcotics in the presence of my players.

17. I will report to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager any perceived misconduct by a coach, player, parent or official so that it can be dealt with in an appropriate manner.
